Our hotel at this round is in the centre of the Fourways district (15 mins from the track). The area has much to offer, being very close to the commercial hub of Sandton, and home to the Montecasino entertainment complex, with its numerous popular nightclubs and gambling facilities. The suburb also attracts young, trendy clubbers and offers a wealth of classy restaurant and shopping experiences.
The area is very safe and with all transfers at this event included you will be able to just sit back and enjoy one of the best races to ever appear on the WSB Calendar.
Race 1, 2010 Results: Early leader Fabrizio gave a faultless performance beating Checca followed closely by Haslam. Rea made an amazing late charge to take fifth. Fabrizio took the line just beating his 2009 time which brought him second place last year.
Toseland looked to be finding some form after his crash in Monza but wasn't able to really drive it and finished 7th.
Race 2, 2010 Results: This was a great race with only 1.479 secs separating the lead pack of five riders. Haslam just beat Rea and Biaggi to the line in a spectacular charge to the finish after some very close racing. Toseland took a fading Fabrizio to claim 6th. Haslam: "It was a high risk last few laps with the front and rear moving about but we didn't make too many mistakes and we won."
Overall championship standings: 1st - Leon Haslam, 2nd - Max Biaggi, 3rd - Jonathan Rea, 4th - Carlos Checa, 5th - James Toseland.
The results extend Haslam's lead with 222 points, Biaggi on 207, with Toseland has 125 so far.
