Not a good weekend for Haslam, Rea overtakes Checa in the standings, Biaggi opens out championship lead with another win, Toseland moves into the number 6 slot.
Race 1: Rea carved out a great victory after passing Biaggi - who had got the holeshot - followed by Crutchlow. Xaus and Biaggi fought as Rea and Crutchlow battled for the lead with Rea imposing his lead. In the end Biaggi took Crutchlow for second place, 2.5 secs behind Rea. James Toseland who was suffering from a chest infection came seventh. Max Biaggi: "We came here on Friday and we didn't really have the same feeling as I had last year so we tried to set up the bike as close as last year's machine. Basically we improved, but my feeling was not great. Unfortunately this weekend has been like this, but we will make some modifications for race 2 and hopefully there will be some surprises."
Race 2: Biaggi found his form and was strong off the line passing Rea early - who made a great start but came in second 4.5 secs behind Biaggi who claimed his 10th win at Brno and his 9th win of the season. Crutchlow was out with a tyre issue, but when he re-entered the race, he put down a new race lap record of 1'59.291. This from Rea: "Max did an unbelievable pace, I know how hard it was to hold on to second and he was going away from us, but anyway it's been a good weekend with a 1-2 today. Thanks for all my team for digging deep this weekend and giving me a package that I could race with."
Biaggi leads with 352 points, Haslam 284, Rea 203, Checa 189, Haga 172. James Toseland is in 6th with 160.
The next round is Silverstone where no one gets you closer to the action than Big Rock. Exclusive - Meet James Toseland at your hotel.
