If it’s America at its wildest that you want to see then this holiday is perfect. From the Canyons of Zion and Bryce to the never ending salt flats of Utah you will ride from its liveliest city to its most isolated road and on to the Pacific Ocean. Riding these routes with their mixture of scenery and historic towns is one of the great riding experiences.
The route from Vegas to Salt Lake City takes us through two of the most interesting canyons in this part of America. Zion and Bryce are both stunning bet viewed in different ways. Zion you approach from the bottom of its valley with the road sweeping around huge rock formations as you pass into this towering canyon.
Bryce just sneaks up on you as you ride up and out of Zion you climb high on to a plateau and then as you twist and turn through the woods there it is huge and looking like no other place on earth!
Pony Express Station just off Highway 50 "Americas Loneliest Road"
After leaving Salt Lake the roads open out and follow the old Pony Express route. Mile after mile of high Desert valleys will see you covering tens of miles in a straight line and then twisting through a mountain pass before once more heading out with the tumbleweed.
From the Desert and Salt Flat where you can actually see the curvature of the earth the ride hits the Sierra Nevada Mountains and after a stunning twisting mountain route you will reach the Pacific Ocean at San F Francisco.
A mix of mountain and desert riding through some of America’s most stunning national parks on historic routes.
