Mention the names Lukey Heights and Siberia and any bike racing fan will know exactly which circuit you’re talking about. Set over looking the great Southern Ocean Phillip Island is one of the most recognisable circuits in the world. With an ocean backdrop and bird strikes a regular occurrence this circuit normally throws up some tight racing. Many of the corners are very high speed and the viewing from all around the track is excellent.
The grandstand we chose as part of the package for this event is Siberia. This grandstand overlooks several corners at the rear of the track and also offers views right across the circuit. From the back of the stand you look out across the ocean. Your ticket also gives access to the rest of the track where the viewing is some of the best on the calendar.
The cosmopolitan city of Melbourne will be our base for the weekend. Known as the liveliest city in Australia with a bewildering array of nightlife, the city is a gastronomic delight.
Enjoy a cruise along the Yarra River or see some spectacular 360-degree views from the Melbourne Observation Deck, hop on and off the free city circle tram or go further afield and visit the goldfields, nature reserves and wineries.
With a shuttle transfer from the city to the track this package will let you enjoy all of the racing while each evening being able to explore this fun city. Run as a ground only option this is the ideal package to combine with a longer holiday.
