Set in the hills above the Italian city of Florence (Firenze in Italian), Mugello is one of the most beautiful circuits in the World and always provides great racing. Big Rock’s fantastic 4 Star Hotel is located in Florence and provides not only a great base for the racing but also gives you the opportunity to take in the sights, sounds and food of this rich and beautiful city.

NEW for 2008 we can also offer our 3 Star hotel only a short walk from the very heart of the city.

Stoner

The Big Rock package to this event includes a grandstand seat in the best stand on the circuit with views of a giant screen. If cost is an issue you could take a general admittance ticket instead but we would not recommend it. The viewing although great from these areas is very busy and it can be very difficult if not almost impossible to get and keep a good spot.

At Mugello, fans of individual riders all tend to watch from the same spot creating an amazing atmosphere right around the circuit.

To get to and from the circuit Big Rock provide a coach transfer on both Saturday and Sunday. This is the most difficult circuit of the year to get in and out of but with a bit of local knowledge and an air-conditioned coach Big Rock will make it as painless as possible.

Rated by many riders as one of the best tracks in the World and stunningly located in the Tuscan hills, this round of the MotoGP championship always produces a huge crowd and great racing.

Where is the circuit located?

Mugello is located in Tuscany, 30km north-east of Florence, 70km south of Bologna and 107km north-east of Pisa. The circuit lies close to the A1 Autostrada which leads north-south from Bologna to Florence.

The Hotels

Hotel Royal Firenze ***

Located in a quiet area of the town, the magnificent Duomo is within easy walking distance. Originally a splendid Florentine villa built in 1700, it was a family residence until 1950 and has since been turned into a hotel making an ideal base from which to explore Florence. The hotel has a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. The hotel also has a small bar and you will find plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Accommodaton is on bed and breakfast basis.

Holiday Inn, Florence ****

Located in a quiet residential area of Florence this hotel is about a 20-euro taxi ride or 2
euro bus journey away from the city centre. There are several good restaurants close by. It also has an outdoor pool. Accommodaton is on bed and breakfast basis.

Although Big Rock are able provide tickets to all grandstands, after many years experience, we recommend the following which we consider to provide the very best in viewing. However, if you have a preferred grandstand, Big Rock is happy to provide these tickets for you subject to availability.

Some of the best viewing is from the banked areas around the circuit. However, these areas are extremely busy which can make finding a good viewing spot difficult.

Grandstand Seating

If you would like to guarantee a good view, we would recommend you take one of the grandstand options below. Far from restricting you to just one place, having a reserved grandstand seat allows you to wander far more freely knowing you can return to a guaranteed viewing point.

Poggio Seco Grandstand

The Poggio Secco Grandstand gives you views of the first section of track after the Start/Finish Straight as it flows between steeped grassed hillsides (huge crowds gather at this point). This grandstand also provides views of a video wall. Grandstand seats in this stand are numbered.

Correntaio Grandstand

Situated on one of the last corners of the circuit, this grandstand gives superb views of the track and offers great value for money. This grandstand also provides views of a video wall. Grandstand seats in this stand are not numbered.
