A new circuit for 2009 to replace Shanghai the Balatonring will have a capacity of 110,000 to 140,000 people and will cost 80 million euros (£63m). The circuit will be 4650m long and is situated 180 kilometres from Budapest near the Lake Balaton holiday area.
Lake Balaton is the largest lake in Central Europe. Over 70km long (and with over 170km of shoreline) it not only provides varied and picturesque scenery, but also a great place to swim, fish, sail, bicycle. Our hotel for this event is close to the track and offers a great base from which to both enjoy the area and circuit.
With new flights from Ryanair to Balaton Airport; numerous cheap flights to Budapest (where a motorway link makes it only an hour away); and a good train service accessibility is easy.

Our hotel for this race has a great spa and health club, the treatments are based on elements of the traditional health cures of Hévíz, the town were the hotel is based. A great place to sit back and relax after a day at the track. If you prefer a more lively evening a quick walk or taxi into town will give you plenty of choice for restaurants and bars. Situated close to the track this hotel is a great base for this, MotoGP's newest round.
